Love the work on the face Brian...metals are great and I'm sure the wolfskin will work out nice.
Tell me though did you have the same trouble as most attaching the helmet plume?
It just doesn't seem to fit, it either fits ok at the front and not the back...or back and not the front?....did you have that trouble with it Brian?

Yes Mark, i did have problems with the plume. After a bit of fiddling about i attached it at the front.Once i had more or less finished painting him i managed to accidently knock off the whole plume ,but eventually all was well.I did a wee bit of research into the way the plume would have been attached and it seems there was 2 leather straps at each end of the helmet which attached to the plume.I'm just leaving mine the way it is.
Spot on Keith,i used a stain on the face when he was finished.

    Hi Brian

Good looking face once again Brian. You really have a knack for making the most of the sculpture presented mate :)

This is another classic Young with a few challenges, not least of all that plume fitting.
I recall doing this one about 6 years ago & used a 1/2" long brass shaft turned in a motor tool to securely mount this.
Also added thin brass wire & fittings to end of each plume housing, then had a nightmarish task to tie this securely with dental thread. Hopefully photo attached gives you a feel for it, more shots on this thread & at MedRom:

    Trust this helps,

I remember seeing this paint job Mike but didn'r realise you had went to all that extra work on him.Really like your version.
My favourite part of painting figures, is the face and i try to differ the skin tones each time.
