Hi friends I introduce the first candidate from the triptych SAS WWII.
    Is it David Stirling.
It is necessary to fine-tune some details.
The work is done at 90%.
further you can look forward to Edward and Mc Donald ........

Thank you gentlemen, for your comments. :)
This bust is traditionally for the MMM, which extends a series of bust V-shape, which represents the major men of WWII.

    MMM? Mitches Military Models?
  9. offo A Fixture

Yes , Adrian Mitches Military Models.
With this company you will find the other heroes of this series. This already has the serial number 16.
I believe that you'll find your hero even in the predošlích.

The Nr. two is the person who makes the company Stirling on one of the most famous photos.
It will be Edward Mc Donald.

I was commissioned to do a diorama for David Sterling by one of his work colleagues back in the seventies. I used the then newly released Tamiya SAS jeep kit. Had the honour of presenting the completed conversion to the great man himself in his offices in Mayfair as a surprise one lunchtime. Charming man who got me totally p***ed on good quality scotch. This is an excellent likeness of the man.

So this I sincerely envy. And I think the other too.
It must have been very exciting and inspiring.
Meeting with these men who fought in the war is always interesting but unfortunately, this generation of veterans we die, and with their experiences.
I believe that you be with him what talk.
