    Hello folks,
Another figure on my workbench, this time belongs to a grenadier of the regiment Enghien, after 1791 with the rename of the French regiments would have been Re. 96th.
In 1789 this regiment had white with scarlet turnbacks and piping.
I ordered this figure from ANT miniatures from Russia.
Original figure is a grenadier in 1796, so the uniform does practically change anything.
I slightly modify the hat and switched the arms and legs for parts from Miniwelt .
i may do a little vignette using an officer whom i am thinki g of painting in the swiss or irish regiments, got inspired by Mental Dental post on the swiss officer of 1805.
    Best regards

Unfortunately couldn't work much on my little vignette today, my wify had no better idea than start a backyard project :-(
Anyhow, i added the second figure just so i have an idea of the scene i want to create.
The officer , i am thi king of making him on the red coat and yellow of either a swiss or irish regiment.
    Lots of work ahead.

More progress on the second figure.
I decided to make this figure to be an officer of the swiss regiment salis-samade, which in 1789 would have had a red coat of the. Traditional swiss regiments i. French service with yellow lapels and cuffs.
I modded the sword belt to bring it into a better height ,i still need to construct the lower edges of the vest and shaved the vertical pockets since the swiss regiments at the time had all horizontal pockets.

    Here are the pics Eduardo.
They are well sculpted, slightly bigger than 54mm.
It was easy to modify them, to the officer i just chopped the head and replaced by a miniwelt one with my own hats.

    Hello planeteers,
I have made the second figure on this little vignette ready to be primed and painted.

I run out of grey automotive primer so i went to the autoparts store and they did not have it.
So i decided to try duplicolor self etching primer.
I love the color of this primer, and leaves the figure with a great smooth texture.

I have finished the lapels and coat.
Not an easy task since yellow to me it is the hardest color to paint, the next one is red.

I will post the mixes later on.

    Well, little accident today.
I decided to call this project off , on e of the shelves decided to fall over my troopers and broke them in pieces, both figures got scratches and some of the areas i worked with putty just broke.
So i decided to call it off, too many figures that need attention to be finished and this is going to set me back.
So, on the other hand, i had a great opportunity to work on my reds and other colors.
I am sure i will make good use of this figures again.
    Regards
