After the work on "Col. Saint-Raymond", I dived on another subject .... A Trumpeter Horse Artillery of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw, set during the 1809 campaign.
The figurine base is the Polish trumpeter (Metal Modeles) in which I changed the head with a Czapska (Historex) with the addition of the plate Artillery of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw.

A little history about this Regiment:
The first Company of Horse Artillery was founded in 1808 by Count Vladimir Potocki . The Department, in its infancy in 1809, there were 50 men and 75 horses, commanded by Captain V. Potocki, with Lieutenant Wladyslaw Ostrowski and two lieutenants. In 1809, a second company is composed by Roman Soltyk will remain captain until 1811 when he became chief of the 6th Squadron Polish lancers. On 1 April 1809, the organization changed with the formation of a squadron consisting of two Companies. The new General Staff includes:
- Squadron Chief: V. Potocki;
- Capt 1 ^ Cp. Wladyslaw Ostrowski;
- Capt 2 ^ Cp. Roman Soltyk.
Each battery is equipped on the model of the French artillery, with four guns 6-pounders and two guns howitzers 6. The guns were drawn by six horses. The artillery train was made ​​up of 24 cars and three boxes of ammunition.
The horse artillery of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw received its baptism of fire April 19, 1809 against the Austrians at the Battle of Raszyn, which saw the victory of the Poles themselves.
Also fought in Grochów April 25 and the next, May 7, at which Kock, without firing a single shot, made ​​125 prisoners of Austrian soldiers. Finally, participated in the siege of Zamoscia. On March 30, 1809, the captain Potocki was wounded and replaced by Major Ignatius Hauschild.
On March 30, 1810 Horse Artillery was again reorganized, providing both teams with 2 companies each (total 4 companies).

This is going to be another triumph. But if I was making this figure, I’d have the cords and braids hanging vertically, rather than suggesting a wind blowing from the trumpeter’s right – but that’s probably what separates a mediocre modeller like me from someone as good as Lasalle!

Andrea, I see you use a lot of Metal Modeles, in general, the uniform of 1805 could be used, the only difference is on the width of the lapels and perhaps the turnbacks, but I noticed the metal modeles turnbacks are great and wide enough so they don't need modification, the only issue would be the lapels.
I have some extra casques if you need, just let me know and I will end it your way as a gift

Reading about the uniforms of the Duchy of Warsaw I noticed the trumpeters of horse artillery and enjoyed immediately! Precisely for the combination of colors of their uniforms. Fabulous!
About the primer, I usually use black only for the figures in 28mm scale, but on a couple of occasions I've used the 54mm and I have to say that is not bad.

An interesting project and it looks good.

Some progress in the painting of the soldier. The left shoulder strap has to be improved. The land and the road sign have, for now, only had one coat of primer brown..

Great job on the crimson Pants Andrea, nice shade of that color.
I find that most of the time that color is confused with just a deep red when i fact is a red shy of being magenta/pink.
Great work on the scenery so far.
