    Hi to all,
    I'm starting with another small change to a "METAL MODELES" figure: the subject I want to accomplish is Colonel John SAINT-RAYMOND (1762-1806), commander of the 33rd Line Infantry Regiment, which stands at Austerlitz before dying the following year due to illness.
    Parts "Metal Models" used are as follows:
    - Head of "Officer of the Young Guard";
    - Body of the "Trumpeter of Carabiniers on horseback"
    - The right arm of the "Officer of 13th regiment dragons" , to which I removed and replaced the hand with the hand of the "Officer of Neuchatel Battalion";
    - Finally, I added epaulettes on his right arm, the Legion of Honour and ruff metal..

    I love the idea and it’s very well done but cannibalising Métal Modèles figures is too extravagant for me. I’ll have to stick to Historex spares.

    Looks very well painted Andrea only a criticism, the flesh seems very dark for a caucasian or is the photo effect?

    Cheers,

    I think that the fun part of painting is converting the figures , the research and adding /sculpting pieces makes the work to be more appreciated .
    I do use 60mm Modeles et allures, 54mm Miniwelt , jmd heads and hands and historex parts.
    It is interesting when all comes together on the figure.
    Best regards my friend

    Thanks guys! (y)
    The flesh, in fact, in the picture is darker than it should ... but it's a photo effect.

    I'm fully agree with you, Marquis. The aspect I like most in painting figurines is the option to edit original pieces made through careful historical and uniformologic research.
