Very impressive. I like the idea of using busts in a way that is not usually seen. I have been trying to develop an idea along those lines myself but have been struggling. Maybe I should go back and look into it again. Keep up the good work

    Hi Brian,

Clearly the concept is brilliant and the execution is stunning, as we have come to expect from you. The "bustorama" concept has become your signature now and each one you do becomes a special piece of art in its own right.

One observation I would make is that the religious icons (stained glass, crucifix, bible and Christ figure) you have used seem to be more Western Catholic rather than Russian Orthodox in style. Russian Orthodox churches, even after the purges by the Communists, retain a very distinctive iconography that was immediately discernible from the religious artworks of the Western church both now and back in the 1940's.

This is I admit a nit picking point, as I love the entire scene, but I also know that you're a stickler for details and I'm sure you would want to get it absolutely right.

Hi tony, thanks for your kind comments and feedback, the stained glass windows to get in any particular style I found difficult on the model market,on the sheet I have small, medium and large images so I had to go with what I could fit into the scene,I looked at Russian church windows on the web and they do have a distinct style but it's the best I could get away with.
The crucifix however isn't a lot different in most russian church's of today ,here a a few that I saved from the web
    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

The cross on the altar was from a Czech model company and does have a russian feel to it which is why I chose this one,I saw this image and that's why I added it in,however my piece is more like a high altar piece but I decided to go with it,in fact it was bigger than this,I cut the bottom off it
    image.jpg

As for the bible I got the idea from these images I saved during research

It's good to have input and feedback and thanks for taking the time out to comment, take care mate

Maybe look into a painted icon on the shelf instead of the cross... Very Eastern Orthodox
