I have now just about completed this latest project which I started back in Aug,i just have to stain and varnish the base and fit the appropriate name plates and that will be that ! ;)

When I started out I wanted to replicate something in this anniversary year of the great war and as I said in previous posts this was the pair of busts I always wanted to paint,i must say I really enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish, they are a teriffic pair of busts, well casted by paul at Model Cellar and brilliantly sculpted by Carl Reid.

I have now fitted both to the finished scene and I'm very happy with the result, its turned out exactly as I had planned it which I'm really pleased about.

I wont go into all the construction and painting details as I have already mentioned thois in previous postings.

I would just take this oppourtunity to thank everyone who has viewed and comented on this project and your continued support throughout, its very much appreciated.

I hope you enjoy the photos of the finished result (y)

Nice job.....no make that a superb job in painting them ....I am not sure about the lanterns in night time trench clearing....they would screw with your night vision.

    Are they brothers?
I think that C. Reid's bust sculptures are among the most popular in the hobby, I understanding that each artist has his own style, but IMO the latest releases, doesn't matter if they are English soldiers or American Indian, has all the same face, .....
