Very nice job. Have you seen Jon Smiths figures and trench sets from WWI they are some of the best I've seen and the detailing is amazing.

Smudger I have been in Jons house and have seen first hand how he produces his figures and equipment, I could spend hours there.

Hi Carl,my friend paul paints a lot of John's figures and has completed a huge trench section with his figures, they look very good and well produced,I may try one of them sometime but at present I have too many projects I want to complete

Following on from the last posting of the completed stormtrooper I have now made a start on the 2nd bust of the british trench raider.

I had a few hours peace and quiet today to make a start on this,i always start with the face and headgear and once completed I then move to the rest of the bust and work my way down it.

The flesh was all done in oils with mixes of Burnt Sienna / Tittanium White / Burnt Umber / Naples Yellow / Veneitian Red / Sepia, these were finished over a GW acrylic flesh basecoat.

The helmet cover was done with exactly the same process.

The pupils and eye details I will finish on the next sitting.

Weathering was done using umber and raw sienna mixes.
