Indeed, a very impressive number of pics you have collected there. Great idea, definitely. And congrats to your enthusiasm. :)

Sad thing which I have heard of is that, as it seems, you have used pictures of miniatures by artists without having asked for their permission. This is at least a question of courtesy to do...

Spoils the party for me a bit :(

    ...Dear....
all the artists that are in the museum, are mentioned for every single painting or sculpting work .
A large number of artists (the majority) has given its consent. I think it's fair to give a name to each photo. I have done and I'llcontinue to do so. If any artist does not want to see his work on the museum can tell me and immediately the photos will be raised, it is not a problem.
Excuse me for my bad english

There will always be someone that is unhappy! Unfortunately you cannot make everyone happy. I do certainly appreciate your hard work Enzo. I think you are doing a great favor to all people that you show their work there.

Given most of these images were probably taken from public sites, i would argue they are effectively public domain. I know someone could tell me how wrong i am by quoting current copyright law. But does anyone really care if someone is nice enough to give their work more exposure in such a great way? I certainly don't mind at all. Its a great compliment.

Not saying that it's not a great project, not at all. But everyone should be given the chance to decide on their own how their work is made public. Whether or not they have shown it on public sites before. I do agree that it is some form of compliment to an artist to show their work, but to me it is also a form of respect to ask them first.

@Enzo: Thanks for the clarification. Maybe you should try to contact those artists who have not yet agreed that you show their pictures at your online museum.

    Hi!

I think all painters will enjoy seeing their work published and recognized in the museum website.
I think you can use the photos you want, rights reserved are preserved unless who uses them will have profit. Am I mistaken?

    Cheers

I am enjoying this site quite a bit.

I seem to experience some IT incompatibility with this site? Everytime I click, a box pops up with the msg "scanstyle does nothing in webkit/firefox/ opera". I have to click OK on this box and then it disappears. It is mildly irritating.

The pop up pictures are great. Can they be made bigger?

A good concept - to have loads of modelling pictures all 'under one roof' is great.

Enzo, don't bother 'contacting' people. An awful lot of those pictures have been freely available for years in various forms anway.

I will be franky ashtonished if you get any complaint. The ego boost of having their stuff associated with excellence will be enough in most modellers' eyes.

    Nice job.

    Have to agree.

Unless it was 'for profit' it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. If only I were good enough to be included (this is real 'Premier League' stuff - even on a good day I'm still kicking around in 'League One')!
