I am pleased to announce that it has finally been sculpted and painted figure of the men who first stood up to the invaders (Germany and Soviet Union) in 1st and 17th September of 1939. The first in this scale 200 mm fully equipped Polish infantry soldier with the mauser rifle mod.29. and unique helmet in those days - with anti-reflective light texture.:)

Very, very nice. There are not enough early-war Poles, French, Dutch, etc. in any scale.

Don't forget the setting. That advert pillar is really well done and it sets the scene.

It is nice to see a subject that has been omitted for decades. Well done, nice details and as said the setting looks great. - As a footnote this army together with Hungarian and German forces had been likewise part of an invading force just short before 1939 when Poland occupied a part of Northern Chekoslovakia. No part of history should be forgotten.
Will this figure become commercially available?

Thanks. I am glad that u like it.:)

I need to explain u shortly what was all about Poland occupaiton a part of Northern Chekoslovakia:eek:_O

The result of conflict between the Polish Cieszyn Silesia and Czechoslovakia in 1919-1920 was a permanent deterioration in relations between the two countries. Czech annexation of the area was the cause of the subsequent annexation Zaolzie by Poland in 1938 Czech state ceased to exist under the Treaty of Munich in the month of October 1938 and this resulted in the entry of our troops in the disputed areas. No one would murder innocent people systematically not have destroyed towns and villages as did the Germans or the Soviets so our recovery of lands for the most part inhabited by Poles had nothing to do with the German-Soviet criminal assault and cooperation to begin of WW2.(y)

Commercially available depend on of interesting to purchase one. However interesting is growing:) Maybe some figure's company would be interesting to sell this?! :sneaky:

    Hi Michal!
Yes I like your model (y) and think that there would be a market for it. I hope that you find a producer who is interested in releasing it.
About history: It is better discussed via PM to avoid that this thread is going elsewhere. If you are interested I strongly recommend some research about the situation of Ucrainian, Jewish and German minorities in Poland during the period before September 1939.
Back to the hobby: What medium did you use for your sculpt? Do you have some work-in-progress pictures?
    Cheers, Martin
