Not sure whether to darken the legs from the fetlocks up to the knees

Cheers pedro , it's the first horse I have painted in 30 years  The base will be painted black , just left it primed as the whole thing so far has been painted insitue ,might be a bit tricky spraying it but will manage , took a look at yours I may do the legs from the fetlocks up to the knees black .

Nice work Mr T.......groundwork is excellent........if I may offer a little bit of advice for that extra touch of depth to the horse....
the skin on the underside is thinner than the upper body.....an equestrian friend of mine pointed this out to me years ago.......
since then....I have always added a hint of pink to the mix for this area...including the veins....always a similar colour to the mouth area.....

Well done on the horse. I also really like how the base sort of falls away in front of him. This is a great kit and you're definitely doing it justice!

Cheers Ron C , the thinner hair cover on the underbelly is absolutely right as you point out , and I considered it ; then rightly or wrongly took the view that it would be in shade
I will probably lighten it and darken the lower portion of the legs to almost black .

This bit of wood was on the scrap pile up until recently :D When I thought about doing this figure I wanted to give the impression of the horse ready to leap across a ditch or small stream , its one of these figures thats been done to death by a lot of extremely good modellers so tried to do something different .
A lot of the European guys are extremely good at this type of base so trying to emulate a bit here.
