WIP The Mercenary 1650

    Hi Guys, I have been working on this 75mm figure by Best Soldiers (The Mercenary 1650) I am painting him in Vallejo and Andrea acrylics,he is about 90 percent complete,I hope to finish painting him and the ground work this weekend. Hope you like him so far.

    My only comment would be that I find him a little pale into the face.

    Pose, face with nose on air gives this guy a real attitude you've captured mate.

    Colouring also sets him apart as a wealthy, dandy mercenary

    Stunning John, the colours are superb. The blue/ purple colour of the tunic and trousers contrast nicely with the port wine colour of the sash.

    I really like the colors you have chosen, especially the purple that is very difficult to paint, for me at least.
