Sounds good Ron,I hope to get some serious modeling time in tomorrow and Tuesday now the kids are back at school,I would imagine the horse and rider will be quite heavy,I assume you will be pinning it mate?

Do you think I need to pin it Brian
IMG_0050.JPG IMG_0053.JPG Seriously it has a pin in one of the legs but will pin the other two also and pin the metal base to the plinth .
This is about four hours work to get to this stage ,really quite an easy clean glue and putty up

you can never have to many pins when it comes to attaching the horse, especially a metal one. this looks like a challenge but, should be fun.

    cheers Zane

Stick a panel pin up both legs Ron, I'd hate it to droop on you.;)

Might be worth drilling a hole and packing some lead shot into the hind quarters too Ron if you haven't already

Definitely the right thing to do mate,i wouldn't want to attempt a piece like this with only one pin,it looks really nice so far, what colour are you going for with the horse?

    Hi Brian
The horse is well engineered The tail is part of the casting and has a large locating plug at the bottom with a brass rod ,the weight is all in the back of the figure so it has been well thought out.
Re Horse colour I'm doing the base black so thinking on quite a light horse ,maybe a roan of some type if i can pull it off :D
