    Hi there,
Does anyone know if R&K Products ever went onto produce HMM (including back copies) on a DVD or CD?
    Cheers

R&K sold the interest to another company which came out with one downloadable mag and went kaput. E-bay and other collectors are you're only way.

Cheers Bob was hoping for back issues on DVD that way I've got more space for figures rather than mags ;) Who knowns may be there is a disc out there! I bought a DVD of the American Campaigns magazines but can't bring myself to put the hardcopies in the recycle bin :D one day I'll just do it, may be after a few beers, a bit of Dutch courage, what, (blimey no offence meant to our Dutch friends, plus I am a United supporter)!!!

Wish MM had their back issues on a disc! Eventhough i've not looked at them for years I still can't bring myself to bin them :)
    Cheers again

Put the campaigns on Ebay Roy they are often in demand still-as for MM I kept 10 years in binders 1998-2008-crap since then! and cut the rest up just keeping the articles that I wanted. Come on now you're retired with all this time on our hands LOL..............Keith

I sympathise with your dilemma Roy. I've got near enough full collections of Figurines, Soldatini and Figuras and they've become a real monkey on my back.
These along with more books on all sorts of topics, than I care to think about have filled so much space in various parts of the house that I really have to take drastic action.
What I think I'll be doing is what Keith suggests, cutting out and filing what interests me.
Mind you I've tried that before
Tried the 'get a bit relaxed ;)' approach with my books. I think I got rid of about 20 from maybe about 1200 and then had to dust them and re-shelf them.
    Good luck

Gents I see we are all in the same boat in one way or another with our book and magazine collections.

Keith you are right I should sell the Campaign magazines but you need a degree in astrophysics to work out the postage rates here in the UK  Anyway the dark nights approach so may be that's a job for the autumn/winter.

Derek when my wife and I moved from Manchester to Watford (because of my work) I sold most of my books because going from a family sized house to a one bedroom flat (that's all we could afford) meant there wasn't the space and my wife was refusing to sleep in our car! Painful as it was at the time handing over my book collection, for nowhere near it's true value, it had to be done but the up side when we moved back in a family house I've been able to restock :D:D

Don't know what it is with MM, some sort of misplaced loyalty I guess but haven't bought an issues since it went tanky - no that's not a play on words!

Shame about HMM the ones I'd collected got sold in the move south 16 years ago, hey ho :(:(

Cheers and ta very much for the advice.

I've got collections of Euro Figuras, Tradition, Figurines, Campaigns, MM, Historical Miniatures (my favourite) Uniformes, Soldatini and Military Illustrated.

I've also indexed a lot of my favourite articles and pictures from them on a spread sheet (sad bastard that I am). I have a crap memory and so it saves me rooting through endless binders looking for that article that I saw "Somewhere" It sounds a big task but if you commit to doing one a day it soon builds into a useful reference.

I am thinking of moving in the next year or two and am about to start decluttering. I have large collections of MM, HM, Campaigns, Figurines, After the Battle, and Blue and Gray.

I will keep the last two but the rest are likely going to get sold for a nominal amount locally.....given the crazy amount of postage costs. I mostly want them gone as I haven't opened one in 4 years. I figure that is a good test as to whether or not I need them. Also a reason why I don't buy mags any more. The internet has completely replaced them in my hobby life.

I won't even mention my book collection. But I did gift all my hundreds of VHS tapes to the local charity shop....some progress.

I haven't looked at the MM for decades but I just can't seem to bin them. I transferred some of the VHS stuff I had on to DVDs and like you took the tapes to the Cancer Research charity shop. They didn't seem to impressed with my arm full of VHS but I was equally unimpressed when I went into the shop and saw these two old women knitting, they'll never find a cure for cancer doing that!

    Cheers

I can only hope that you have a blank of that spread sheet. Because I can't make it, but with alot of magazines on the shelff and searching for a article many hours, this could be helpfull.
