RP Miniatures presents General Patton

    Hi folks ,

    Just saw this , the 2nd release from RP miniatures ...Patton

    As I said in the previous release review this will still be in Black resin with the eyes as before also , this is changing with future releases .

    Pictures from E bay where the company sell at the moment till the website is done with more releases available ...one step at a time for RP....I am hopefully going to be able to share a review piece to you all

    Nice sculpt but the jacket looks like it's made from Neoprene (wetsuit material) to stiff not like a well worn flying jacket. In the photo where the pose is taken from Patton is wearing a shirt.

    The form of the jacket is good but it really needs the fine creasing to indicate leather. Perhaps this is one subtlety that digital sculpting has problems with? I doubt there is a technical limitation though.

    Thank you for the explanation this range of kits are 3D printed, I had not appreciated this fact. The potential for future development is certainly there. The kit looks fine to me apart from"fine creasing" which I am sure will develop as time goes on.

    Totally agree about the jacket. It lacks the artist touch.

    But, depending on the price, I could give it a shot.

    I'm not convinced it's a good likeness of GSP, but it might come to life with paint.
