Congratulations , this is very nice. Please and sorry, I have never purchased from company. If all resin, is sword and parts straight on small pieces. I am confused as civil war is a special time for me and great sculpting but I hear bad things about product

Carl nailed him pretty well! The Iron Brigade was literally decimated in the Battle of Gettysburg, and the ferocity of the regiment is all there, in this bust!

I dont know what you have heard, and from whom, but Gordon is a trusted guy and his products are excellent.

Another cracker for Carl, he somehow alway manages to capture the right mood of the period, and thanks to Gordon for releasing it and at a good price too.

Woody, do you mean that you are concerned that the blade is resin? If so it's easy enough to use the one in the kit as a template to scratch build one from brass strip. Otherwise I don't understand your comments as Filipe says MMM and Gordon are a great company with excellent products and Gordon could not be more helpful.

P.S. I think you'll find Guys that Gordon Mitchell is not so involved in Mitches Military Models these days, his two sons Ross & Daniel run the company now.......Gordon's sat in front of the fire with his pipe & slippers & a paintbrush in hand......snoring!

Woody, thanks for the interest and compliment, this is a superb figure and thanks to the sculptor it goes together very easily. In relation to the blade and small parts of the kit, it has been known for resin parts to bend while in the box however it is simple enough to straighten by heating the part in warm/hot water and straighten by hand while soft. if you ever have an issue with any of our products we would replace anything you were not happy with.

We were originally going to ask Carl to base the piece on Lt Col Rufus Dawes however decided in the end to let Carl do what he does best and i think you'll agree he's done an outstanding job.
