    Friends from pF

This weekend we had a intense workshop with the spanish master Jaume Ortiz. A great painter and also a great teacher, with a lot of patience and attention.

The workshop was divided in three parts, basically. Face, german camo patterns and field gray. To practice the face techniques, I chose this great mini-bust (1/16) from Heroes and Villains. Following, I will do another mini-bust, a german with a camo tunic.

Figure in Vallejo Black Primer (this is a personal choice, not part of the workshop)

Highlights well marked. They wore made adding Highlights Flesh 342 from the Panzer Aces series.

Shadows well marked, using Shadows Flesh 343, also from Panzer Aces.

Sombras bem demarcadas, usando Sombras Carne 343 da Panzer Aces.

Current stage. I made the contour and began the transition of colors. Also, a couple of washes with Violet 960 and Flat Red 957. As the face is turned, I am following the lessons of Jaume Ortiz and I am making stronger lights on the exposed side.

Taff, thank you for following. The colors are Vallejo, with the reference number.

Martin, how are you my good friend? :) Thank you for following.

Almost everything ready, the transition of colors, eyes, hair, moustache, etc. Still doing some touches at the lips and eyes areas. Everything with the colours previous mentioned.

Since the bust is kind in a "profile" stance, i've tried to make the eyes at the corner, to look directly at the observador, but did not fully succeed in that.

The hair was made with Orange Brown 981, with black and brown washes. Since the photos are too close, those marks of the washes appeared a little more.

Still quite busy at the job but will soon get back to you via PM.
Great to see that you had the chance to learn from Jaume Ortiz and apply your lessons learned in such a brilliant way. Great thread - will follow with interest. The skintones look nice with smooth transitions. Keep going!
    All the best!

Xenofon, thank you my friend. I answered you at the inbox. :)

Chris, thank you for your compliment. Feel free to make critics. :)

Martin, congratulations to you and your family, and send all my best to Emilia, a beautiful name.

Thank you for following my work, and for the compliments. Feel free to make any critics. :)

Guys, i take the face as finished. I've made some retouches at the lips and the eyes, better contrast at the hair and beard, and also made a beard shadow.

The next step will be the pattern of the cap, but only tomorrow.
