Great depth on the coat... Looks fantastic. Should set off the bright colours of the rest of the figure very nicely.

Yup, I'm in agreement with Colin. Don't know what you have planned for a base, but perhaps a round one to entice the viewer to rotate the figure and fully appreciate your Cossacks extravigant coat:)!

Later, the figure will stand in my presentation rack with the back in front of a mirror which is there...

Looks great Martin. Pretty soon your latest creation (well, that is to say yours and the sculptors), will be among the others :).

I like that idea... never thought of the use of a round base in that way.

Today starts the last work on the head , with which I 'm not quite finished at the workshop last November.

    As a reminder - as far as I had come ... :

It still lacks the shirt collar and - above all the fabric bag ( "wing" ) of the Kolpak cat .So I continue today.

I have decided for the same blue, with whom I already have painted the Kaftan - just that I now must draufpacken more " light " above.

For this I use these colors again ... :

And so it has become ... :

... I have painted the later visible part of the shirt collar ... :

The final touches to the figure apply to a suggestion that a good friend has made :
The metal plate that protects the rifle butt down is " blank" - there are no mounting screws to see that should actually be there... :
This metal plate gets so carefully two screws placed . The screws do not just see plastic made , they are!
I have set two swabs with undiluted silver and after drying "washed" carefullyy with a very thin mixture of black and silver...:

    (oops)
It's the tiny details that really take a figure from "good" to "great".
