I've been waiting for this to arrive and it came today. Excellent packaging. Everything was wrapped and bundled nicely. No missing or broken parts. It also appears that they remove the main pour plugs and start on the mold lines.

Great to get this feedback-I've ordered 3 of the first 5 releases, looks like the start of an exciting new series.

I started to clean them up. The fit is also excellent and the mold lines very easy to remove. The only thing that I found so far was the fellow holding the rifle needed a little help finding his right foot into the base, which by the way, sits completely flat, no sanding needed.

After this review I see that quality is not very good : sculpting quality and casting quality. For sur, First Legion should casting better for me. BUT price is good for this kit.

On what do you base that comment?-have you got one?-it is completely at odds with the previous review so I am confused

I looked carefully at the pictures: the details are not very thin (because of the sculpture) and the type of alloy used tends to round the details (molding grade) BUT it is a good price for all .

Last week I ordered three figures on horse to an European First Legion dealer (From France) and the price of each figure, is the same as the figures on horse of Metal Modeles, so each draw their conclusion about the price.
Anyway, I think the quality is good.

Will be interested to know what you think of them when they arrive if you don't mind posting. I've ordered 3 but it is not too late to cancel if the casting is poor. I'm not sure price is a factor, as someone once said to me it is difficult to do a good job of painting on a poor casting..........at my level of painting I need all the help I can get:rolleyes:
    Take care my friend,

Well, I will try to do an open box review when I get them. As I said before I think that they are good figures, in my opinion those scotish have a good level, and the mounted figures that I´m expecting look pretty nice, too.

Eduardo, I've ordered two pieces the same as yours plus the Red Lancer and 95th Rifles Vignette, so I'm anxious to see how they turn out.

When you say, the red lancer you mean Colbert, I guess. This figure was sold earlier painted, as a limited edition and it is a good figue too.
