A magnificent sculpt. I do not usually go for ancients, but I may just have to get this one.

I'd give Pegaso extra marks as well for a non-Napoleonic mounted subject - there are pitifully few of those about.

Andrea Jula has become a force to be reckoned with.

Ron, you’re running the risk of people calling you “nitpicking”. As a recipient of that accusation myself, I should know!

I don’t know much about the anatomy of the horse but I do know that “Celtic” mounts of the time were small and about the size of modern-day Exmoor ponies. Perhaps that would explain the chunky look of the legs.

Not my period but a truly fantastic-looking figure.

I did say it was nice Jeff :) , you are right about the horse type but this won't be cheap, Pegaso are industry leaders allegedly  so a little hair engraved around the top of the hooves wouldn't go amiss :)

pure nonsense.again those silly plaits and this pelt and fur sattlething.....never you will riding in an muscled unflexible full body bronce cuirass an horse it would be very painfull when the lower rim of that hitting your pelvis when horse makes an violent jerk or move.why did roman eiders always wear mail or scale because its felxible and an stiff bronce lobster is not.....this animal skull on the rimwork is an anoying thing too.this figure seems to be inspired by 19 century artwork showing Vercingetorix surrendering to Cesar.alas badly reserached and nothing to part money with.if one is looking for an fantasy celt why not

Or, it's you know, a leather cuirass (clues in the name really ;) ) and plaits seem a pretty practical hair style to me, The skulls are a bit naff but nothing 10 seconds with a dremel can't cure but each to their own I guerss
