Hi All,

I am presenting to you a small WW1 vignette depicting a scene of two germans ready to attack.
The officer figure is in my opinion one of the best in Verlinden's series.The second one comes as a part of a small vignette titled "no news from the Western front''.
I did not make any significant modifications ,it is almost straight from the box.
Extra effort was put on the groundwork where I also used the base from Verlinden with the skeleton.
Please feel free to leave any comments/suggestions.

Very nice, I like it, and I really dig the excellent effort you did on the groundwork, it all "falls together" quite well and it's quite convincing

... Just wondering - who sculpted these excellent figures for Verlinden ? Looks like Brian Stewart but I may be wrong ...

Thank you Johan for your nice comments.I am not sure about the sculptor but I think that I have the same guess like you because the style is very similar..

Also Derek Holmes produced some WW1 figures for Verlinden

... I already thought that the faces on these figures were better than the average Verlinden ... that explains...

I was thinking of Brian Stewart because there is a similarity in sculpting style with the old S&T Confederate and Union infantry figures - same way of sculpting folds in the clothing etc.
... I never realized that you have done work for Verlinden, Mike ?

The officer is one of my favorites and I will use him also as base for conversion for another figure that I am preparing.....

Great work Fokionas, everything in your vignette is top level, painting, weathering, the water and mud, barbed wire. I love it.
