This is a fantastic little diorama. Great feel for action. Iam not a WWI type, but this one has me thinking.

Any thoughts on the Pilkum Ridge stretcher bearer party? Always wondered if it could be done in 54mm...

The last time I paid that much for a single kit (given the exchange rate), I got really burned (the kit was an absolute dog) and the damn thing is still sitting on the self half finished. I do not have that worry with this kit, judging by past experience. I know that this kit will be top notch!! Add to that you are considering selling the figures individually which is brilliant and you are releasing both a 13 pounder and an 18 pounder which will look great in my artillery collection. I see at least the diorama kit arriving in my mail box very soon.

And here I thought I had my Christmas wish list all planned. :)I keep telling myself that I need to steer away from 54mm, (the age thing) but how can I pass this up.
Maybe if I sell the car and walk to work...;)

Outstanding! My little prediction - nothing to match this will be done by any kit maker for the rest of 2013!

    All the best,

Stunning diorama Darren! Unfortunately beyond my budget, but I would be interested in a larger scale WWI figure. I will be keeping an eye out for the release.

Hallo Tommy's War ! I have long awaited an accurate rendition of the 18 Pdr; ever since my old friend John Piper sold away Scale Link Ltd. Now I understand why you ignored my Emails on the subject six months ago! My only questions are; have you cast the cradle, recouperator, and barrel separately? Thank you again for this long awaited weapon system.

Hallo! If I may make an additional observation, this is the first 13/18 Pdr release to accurately capture the unique design of the wheels; 2nd class C No.45, to be specific. Examining the prototype pictured in the announcement, you will note the spokes are properly staggered at the hub.

Sorry if I missed your emails, I don't recall any, but that's not to say there weren't any, it does get a bit hectic sometimes.

Yes, the cradle, recouperator and barrel are all cast separately. I'm hoping to have the three instruction books as pdf's (13 pdr, 18pdr and limber) uploaded to the website later this afternoon, they will be free downloads so anyone wanting to have a look can do so easily.

I've hit a slight delay on shipping the kits, the Nery packaging is running late and due with me today or tomorrow - however, kits, crew, instructions etc are all in-stock and ready to ship and I'll be posting orders as soon as I possibly can.

I think this image shows the 18 pounder in more detail:

The reference for all the gun kits are from the outstanding book: Early British Quick Firing Artillery by Len Trewin

Front of the instructions shows the line drawing created of each gun:

The three instruction sheets are now available to download on my website.

To receive the pdf version of each instruction you have to go through the shopping cart as if it were an order, and check-out. Once you have confirmed your order the final page includes a link to download the file.

All the instructions are, of course, free to download. You can use this function to check-out the detail in the kit if you're thinking of buying.
