I was wondering why when I posted on the forum I was getting 2 or 3 duplicates of my messages.I've now solved the problem. The planet has definitely slowed down for some time now and when I clicked on the send symbol I thought that it hadn't worked so I've been clicking more than once which eventually produces more than one message. Why has Planetfigure slowed down. It's not my computer as I've checked.

Its now, pwadm that has taken over the day-to-day running of PF! . . Gordy has handed everything over to him, Gordy, hasn't been on here since mid June.

I thought Gordy was a bit quiet and in the background lately, so has he left or just letting someone else run the show?

    I truly
I truly do not know! ... all that I do know is, when I last contacted 'Gordy', .. he politely gave me a referral to, 'pwadm'! (as regards a technical issue with my account)! .. who! in fairness sorted it out 'Toot-Sweet'.

Since then, I refer to pwadm! if required!

Still runs like a dog for me..........and I do still wonder if the site is over subscribed with guest log-ins.......on average there are four times the number of guests to members....
include all the background scripts running the adverts....and the server/s are being hammered

I will do some tests today, and see if I can address the speed issue. Thanks for reporting this, we don't want the planet to be slow. I will keep you posted.

Probably living in the Glasgow area has something to do with it:).

Davy Mitchell was talking about a Glasgow show in October, do You have any info on this?
The Edinburgh bunch are hoping to get through and to Darlington next year.

How did You fare in the comps at Euro?

I made lots of adjustments and tweaks to speed up the site. We are on a fast server, but the configuration was not optimal in all cases. I will monitor the speed, and revisit the changes on Monday. It is very fast right now, but it all depends on the current load.
