    Hi folks ,

Just a couple of pics on this one ..it was I believe a test cast for Wolf many years ago but never got released ..or so it said on the label on the bag when I got it at the BMSS Nationals about 4 years ago .

It represents a cadet from the French Equivilent of Sandhurst ..regretable I can't find a picture of one with at least one medal!!!!

Pics show the epaulettes primed for gold but now changed to a Red base .

    Hi Guys ,

Thanks for the comments and for looking in

Keith will the epaulettes stay red ...not too sure , gold would be NCO cadet at St Cyr ..not sure what would be more interesting ..the plume is white over red .

Hope to get on with this soon

    Hi Nap,
I've had a look around and found these for you, unfortunately you will have to get Detective Peart on the case to identify them.
    cheers

    Hi Nap,
No problem mate, you have done the same for me before, I did find some sites but they were in French........come on Keith mon ami:). If this is a test cast then you have quite a unique piece. Look forward to seeing what you do with this and if you add any additions, it should be Naptastic.
    cheers

Looks really interesting and a unique piece. Should paint up really well.
Personally I'd be inclined to sculpt a short portion of sleeve below each epaulette
    Looking forward to end result.

    Hi Del ,

Good idea , it was something I was thinking about as the epaulettes seem to be "floating" , I will probably angle them into the body a bit as well ....after doing the medals and adding another "V" of lace on the shako sides (as per picture from Richie) .

Thanks for popping in with the idea

    Hi Guys ,

    Steve,

Thanks for the comments ...I reckon a bit of arm is needed ..I will start on face this weekend (hopefully after alterations!!) as I am at the Colours 2013 show in Newbury with Mrs Nap .

The epaulettes are now based ..again getting ready for the NMM gold

I have now added the medals x 2 ....bargain (y) and also the additional "V" on the helmet .........

.....just had another look at the picture and noticed that he has a chin strap and chin scales around the kepi (although I can't find any other pics of the scales being worn)...yet..guess I will be adding at least the chin strap today as well then:facepalm: !!!

    Thanks for looking in

    A unique piece indeed Nap.

I think the epaulettes should actually be dangling free, ref the last picture posted by Richie. Otherwise this guy would have un-naturally wide shoulders as well.

    Cheers,

    Hi Guys ,

Here are a ouple of rather iffy pictures , hope you ge the idea , still to do the black leather on the shako , added the extra "V" 's and the chin strap etc medals on the way to being finished ...looking forward to doing the para wings as well ...the epaulettes will be gold ..all NMM of course ...need to do a bit of putty work on the threads before I go for the brush .
