Martin, I certainly didn't wish to start a moral debate over a model. Sorry if I hit a nerve with what were supposed to be flip (read sarcastic) statements. Wasn't even denying that bad things have happened. Just another set of experiences from someone who has spent a life in this "culture", seeing the good and bad of this group (as there is in every group). Obviously we're from either side of the same fence (I gather you are in some way involved in law enforcement, correct me if I'm wrong) so we will see things our own way. Can we at least agree it's a decent model and move on?

BTW, that flat based on Dave Mann's "Ghostrider" is pretty cool. Would like to see some 3d models of the same style.

    Hopefully no hard feelings

Hi Colin - absolutely no hard feelings about ANY comment on my side. As said I like the figures and wish to build and paint one of these but will add full color etc without thinking about copyrights of the OMCG`s. This is a hobby. My experience in real life as part of the law enforcement is very different and I lost a close friend. Still that does not mean that I regard all bikers as criminals - there are some things that are going on behind the curtain with the world-wide "One-Percenter`s" that is not about minor traffic rules violations - to give a hint what I am aiming at: The monthly payments for membership of these clubs or costs of a full color exceed by far our most expensive modellers dream projects and the OMCG´s do not build up children`s hospitals from their income. Therefore I disrespect possible claims from their side about usage of patches on little tin men as long as real men loose lives due to their activities ( - that are not about freedom but about money and greed).
    All the best!

Like I said, my comments about copywrites etc were meant to be tongue in cheek as it's really a non-issue, the shot about the beer can was a joke (I sometimes don't get my tone across in text)and I believe so was the other Colin's comment about the seat belt  .

I feel for you losing a friend on the job. I've read of some of the happenings with the European Club wars and am blown away by their brazen attacks on police, prison guards and judges. Over here in Canada, the clubs seem to be of a far more relaxed breed, who go out of their way to stay under the radar. To my knowledge (which is quite intimate), a cop has never died in dealing with clubs here. Being a part of this culture all my life, I do know what happens day to day, and it ain't all toy runs and bike shows ( I'll keep the details to myself;)) but the level of public violence shown in Europe is unheard of here.

I might not paint this one for myself, but the coulpe of Angels I showed it to were quite interested but insisted if they paid to have me paint one for them, they want the cresting done right. They also thought the idea of copywrite issues was silly... in short they couldn't give a damn about a little tin man.

If you end up doing this one, I look forward to seeing your rendition

It's not so much how they "legally" protect their (as well as others) brand, it's more of how they "protect" their brand. Legal being left out ;). With all that said, yes, there are some bad things they do just as well as some good things they do. For instance, here in the states, when a service member passes away and these IDIOTS from some "church" in Kansas say they will protest? You should see the Harleys and flags come out. It really is a site to see! However, I don't see HA, or any other club, browsing pF or going to figure shows to see if their patch is displayed .

Let's think about a particular group (that group itself not being illegal, whatever the actions of individual members within the group) being excluded from society based on 'labels' and 'concidering' of a government agency... sounds like a slippery slope does it not?

    Just saying

    Hi Colin,
I can`t be more open about my professional duties but if the individual members of a group that claims to be legal itself can earn special patches like "deguello" or "no mercy" for acts of violence and if there is always a "jailhouse crew" supported by the club the slippery slope starts right here in my eyes.
One-Percenters are not excluded from society against their will - the meaning of that term "1%" has to do with it. They are no victims. That said I will return to modelling.
Again no sour grapes on my side - everybody is entitled to his opinion. The Andrea-model is nice and I will gladly show it to you and the other members over here once it is done. Unfortunately my professional life is at the moment filled up with the real clubsters to the limit. So it might take some time.
    All the best!
