Hello folks, here's another figure currently in my workbench.
Still awaiting some scenery to arrive for the national guard and the swiss guards massacre diorama, so I decided to start another battle front :blackeye:.
The history of this regiment is dated back to the 1560's. , it provided the largest contingent within the Household troops. Their duty was not only the safety of the royal Palace but they wore responsible for maintaining public order by 1789.
The guard was targeted by revolutionary agents that planted the seeds for the events to come and eventually the guard joined the revolt which ended up in the storming of the Bastille.
The guard was disbanded and many of it's former troopers joined the newly formed Garde Nationale.
As usual with my figures, the body and the legs are from Modeles et Allures, the head is from former Miniwelt, the grenadier hat is from Miniwelt, added the front plate from histores parts, the lapels of the uniform have been "shaved" and added the lace which is from Historex parts too.
The hands are from JMD and I attached just for the picture and pose purposes only, they will properly placed at a later time.
This will be a single display figure.
    Best Regards

Nice work Daniel. Did you give up on the giant diorama with this scale of figs? Break all those 60mm figs down into smaller vignettes and dios?

Thanks Colin, and yes, the reason is that I already have the 40mm guys and it is easier o make a big scene cause I could add more troopers and regiments.
So I am using bits and pieces of the big guys to create a more individual vignette or single figure display. So I will have different regiments and variations troughout.
Best regards and looking forward to see your brit figure.
    Cheers

Hello folks, finally done on the lace, lot of work and a painstaking process with a lot of frustration and thinking but I am happy with the result.
Originally built the lace on the vest out of a mix of magic sculp and greenstuff, but I was not happy with it and use some spare historex parts that I cut it and fitted to the vest and lay a much better result.
Now I am ready for the happy time of priming the figure.
    Best regards
