Yes I think that the pose would be ok for a large scale miniature without being over-animated and take a look at the slight disorder of his equipment: - belt buckle and magazine pouch with it`s Y-strap shoved to the left, potato smasher stuffed into the carrier of the entrenching tool, two K 98`s (one possibly picked up from a casualty), obviously no shoulder straps....facial expression is far from posing for a propagangda shot.
A picture that has always impressed me. Maybe Jeff or Taesung are listening.....
    Cheers

    Hello,
I just wanted to let you all know that I e-mailed Jeff your thoughts on the figures arms. Jeff told me to let you all know he thanks you for your thoughts and will check and redo the arms before it goes to the caster. Just wanted you guys to know hes listening. I like the face and there is a photo from the Battle of the Bulge I believe the famous set with a Lang in the photo and an M20 scout car of a German solider with a face very much like Jeff's figure. I hope to find it and post it. Thanks again. Regards Brock

Thats great news, I am glad to see that constructive criticism can be taken for what it is and improve a figure before its released. I thought that face looked familiar, and once you said Battle of the Bulge, I realize he looks a lot like the famous MG-42 gunner in US rain gear in the propaganda films they made. I just re-sculpted the Warriors 200mm figure to make him look a little more like the real guy, and the long nose and chin were 2 of the characteristics I tried to replicate. Can't wait to see what Jeff can do with the arms.
    Cheers

Hello Brock, Glad to here Jeff is making improvements to this figure. It will be a great figure once the arms issue is resolved. I agree with you about the face on this one, its excellent. Jason, and yourself, I believe are talking about this picture. It does resemble Jeff's. Also, will there be update photos prior to release? Regards, SG Waffen_SS_Soldier.jpg

    Hello,
Thats a great photo but not the guy i'm thinking of. I know he's in most of the documentaries of this action where these photos were taken. he only appears for a few seconds then moves on. I will check with Jeff but I would believe he'll post new photos. Regards Brock

    Maybe this guy?
BTW, I always got a chuckle reading the "Then and Now" book captions of the guy in the background being referred to as the "deformed" German. I always had to say to myself "he's eating something" , and he can be seen holding food in his hand in some pics (and in the Life Miniatures bust).
Also, after looking at the larger pics of Jeffs fig, if he's making changes he might want to cut down the jaw and chin just a little bit. Something I would do if I buy it. Its OK to make it look different, but it might be a little too different!

Its still a fantastic figure from an outstanding sculptor.

Have no fear Jeff will tweak what needs tweaking and then we have another great figure to paint!

Yes, I am aware of Calvin`s nice rendition. It was done in 54mm and I would like to see it done in a larger scale which would give the option to display the discribed disorder/special appearance of his equipment. I would also prefer to stay somewhat closer to the picture in respect to his weapons. - Anyway thank you for showing Calvin´s version - it is worth visiting his site http://zyclyon.blogspot.de/

After the terrible customer service I received from Jeff with his last 200mm figure - I don't care if the hands & fore arms are too big, feet too small or he was carrying a laser weapon - NO more of his figures for me and I honestly like several of them!! Dave

Eh!! I have never had anything but outstanding customer service from Jeff??? Infact he even sent me a new helmet on the 200mm figure as the original was cracked. I have around 10 of his pieces and not one single problem shipping to the UK so i am intrigued as to what your problem was??

Can't wait for the reworked version. I have a few of his figures and have no problems with shipping or the figure itself .

Disturbing to learn about problems with Jeff`s customer service. I never had any problems like that. One time a figure was lost during shipping and Jeff sent another one the day he learned about the problem. So from my side I fully recommend his products and his service.

Dr. Force & Martin - I had the 200mm German Mg 34 gunner on hold @ the Red lancers before it was even released - when I received my kit from Chuck there were several parts missing or broken!! I sent Jeff an email informing him of the problem {hoping he would just replace them} - his response was contact the seller - which I did {where the hell was the seller going to get the parts?? Jeff I guess!!}. Chuck had sold out of his stock & told me he would order the parts with his re-stock order!! Waited 5-6 weeks for his order to arrive & when it did - NO PARTS!! I was PISSED!!! Chuck being the great guy he is just sent me another kit but, I had to return the one I had so he could get credit from Jeff - which I did @ a cost of 11.00 postage!! Chuck NEVER did receive the parts to my kit or another one he had problems with. Bad part about it is I have 6 or 7 of Jeff's kits in my GGA and I do like some of his newer releases but, call me old fashioned or old school - screw me once shame on you - screw me twice shame on me!! Just NOT going to give him another shot at me!! This also happened to me with Andrea and you wouldn't believe what I had to go through with them - since then I have only bought one of their 90mm figures!!

I have bought a bunch of Jeff's figures direct from him. I always had outstanding service. Packaged very well and was shipped very quickly.

Sorry to hear about that. I can understand that Jeff will only send replacements to customers that have ordered directly from him but maybe Chuck got the (his) replacements in the meantime? - Maybe I am just a lucky guy because so far I never had any problems with manufacturers - be it Pegaso, Andrea or El Viejo Dragon or Verlinden. All of them were extremely nice and supportive - Andrea just asked for a scan of their controller`s voucher before they shipped out my replacement parts.
    Cheers Martin

Martin - I never had a problem with Jeff's figures until this episode!! I have had problems in the past with other companies { not going to mention any names - don't want a war to break out!!} receiving either missing parts or broken ones and as soon as I contacted them - the problems were solved!! I do continue to support those companies!! After spending 100.00 on the figure - not to mention the base - I feel I shouldn't have to wait over 2 months to get a "complete" kit. I'm happy to hear that everyone hasn't had the same problems with Jeff - Like I said his figs. are very nice - just NOT giving him another shot at me!! Funny thing is - I had ordered direct from him before!!
