Painting same one at the moment, must close eyes not to pinch some of your vision of it:)

Have you decided about colour of the jumper? I am talking about few accounts of him wearing white one but I only managed to find one picture supporting it.

    Looking good.

Can I ask about the crowns on the shoulder bands - are they supposed to be silver?

    Cheers Gaudin,
I also have the Paddy Maine bust and will give him the white jumper.
The shoulder bands are the same colour as the battledress. His rank emblem is a Major, so golden/yellow thread will be the colour.

Wikipedia says (of D-Day): “Lord Lovat reputedly waded ashore donning a white jumper under his battledress, with “Lovat” inscribed into the collar…” The question is – where on the collar, what size and what colour. Perhaps best to ignore this?

    Will follow with interest, Gells.

Lovely job on the face, will be watching your work on the rest.
Great bust, and the regiments history is astounding.

Great work so far Grant, fascinating character carrying on the tradition of his ancestors.
Now we need someone to do a bust  of the 11th Lord Lovat (last man to be publicly beheaded in Britain). (take note crf Colin)
Looking forward to seeing this progress, it's a lot more challenging than it first appears.
    Cheers

DEL – it would make a change from people asking “where are the legs?” if someone did a bust of the beheaded 11th Lord Lovat!
