Some nice painting work on this figure (y) well done
... It does look like a Grenadier Company officer though, not a centre company ensign, and the Sphinx badge of the 28th is missing from the colours ... ?
(The presence of the sphinx badge on the regtl colours of the 28th at Waterloo has been confirmed in contemporary writings at least)

Hi Johan, this is an interesting point you make, some sources have the sphinx present only from 1816,but i have also read on the regimental website that in the regimental museum of the 28th a silk egyptian honour was found at waterloo believed to have fallen from the regimental colour which indicates that the sphinx was present ,an interesting topic i feel which someone will pick up on,in all my referance books related to the 100 day campaign i cant find any clear evidence to suggest the sphinx was present, but if its in the regimental museum it must have been present during the campaign.
Many thanks for your input into the subject (y)

"As most As most will be aware now I do like to add a weathered look to the figure, the ensign as well as the figure would have been subject to heavy smoke and dirt / mud at this time all of which will add to the weathered look of the figure."

Late getting to this one, so as others have said; Very tough to pull off without overdoing it, or having it look like brown paint smeared on, but you have hit it just right on this guy Brian. FWIW, I agree that those 120mm Napoleonic Brits by MOZ 120mm Studio are terrific and always was surprised we didn`t see more at the show exhibit tables, or on PF.
