Thank you for the good advice Kev.
I agree DIY casting is not an option, additionally getting lucky with the putty a couple of times does not warrant the required outlay.
    Cheers,
    Keith

    Hi Kevin,
Thank you for looking in and positively commenting.
With the first one it was a drop everything and go with an idea. The other two may prove to be a little more demanding with less whiskers to hide behind.
I will let you know the out come.
    Thanks again Kevin.
    Cheers,

Its guys like yourself that keep this hobby interesting...keep at it.many years ago, a firm, whose name escapes me, put out two sets of busts, Brit Infantry at Waterloo and French Cavalry. Came with brass rods, wooden base and brass nameplates...good sculpting too, about 140mm.
Way ahead of the times sadly.

    Hi Nap,
Lets just see what happens.(y) I don't want your missus coming on here asking for food parcels either.:yuck: I've got to try and emulate Keith's standards for one and I'm no sculptor. Putty bodger - yes.
See what you've you started now Keith, he's even going to spend the wife's housekeeping to get one of these:LOL: , I'm blameless of course:angelic::angelic: I was a Zulu War nut long before this was sculpted:ROFLMAO: and poor Kevin too and the others.
    cheers

Come on boys, spare a thought, I'm still in mourning for death of English Ruby.
What was it that Tommy Docherty some football fella said? some thing along the lines of Figure painting is not a matter of life and death it's much more important than that.
With the growing numbers of Zulu War Nuts you will all be able en mass to do the dance from the film at the pF Christmas Perty. Please keep your shirts on though.
    Richie
I have been giving Nige a final polish before I post him off to you Richie...tomorrow or Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Will speak about it soon.
    Kev,
I know man shall not live by bread alone but you do have to eat something. You cannot spend all of your money on Busts, you are not Jordan or Katy Price or what ever her name is today.

Good to have a giggle again keep it coming.
    All the best Chaps,
    Keith

Wasn't that Bill Shankly?... Unless, of course, you were referring to "THE" Tommy Docherty, the world famous figure painter!

30-3, eh! What happened to England then Keith?.. You can't stop that old roaring Dragon, a Wales/England game is the only time I can't support England, sorry mate, I couldn't resist it, it's the Welsh ancestery coming out in me! Bloods thicker then water and all that old B**locks! (y) Keep at it mate Mr Bourne's looking good.
    Cheers

    Cheers Jim,
With your surname Mate you can do nothing else.
England never do well when Mr Steve Walsh is officiating. I think once he had tagged the the England scrum so many times it was game over.
Still chin up there's a couple of years until the World Cup.
Mmmm Mr Bourne is looking OK but I have a load of learning to do. I get a little more confidence every time I push the putty around but I have a long way to go.
That said I really enjoy it so it's not all doom and gloom.
    All the best,
    Keith
