    Hi Rigaud,
I really like your one word answer.....especially when I live in France trying to learn the language, one word at a time is good. Many thanks for your reply.
I have just ordered a few kilos of Milliput on Ebay so other actors from the film could be possible.
    Acclamations,
    Keith

    Aapres manuscrit,
Do you have a link for any French suppliers of sculpting materials that I can use, sil vous plait?

I don't know, you two:rolleyes: - even if I have to take him to the S & L as is, I will take him. Now get on with sculpting some Zulu war figures, I don't know you two have too much time on your hands for this all this frivolity:p

    Hi Keith,
Neck is a very apt word- shame it had it's stretched:LOL:. Did I ever tell you my forefathers were rope makers and scaffolders!
    cheers

Thanks for looking in and taking time to comment Steve.
I am trying, slowly, to get to the stage of casting some of my stuff but its a long bumpy trail.
Richie has broad shoulders, He can take the pressure.
    All the best

    Hi Richie
I will post it from here so that you will have it for Sword and Lance, just in case waiting until I am in the UK is touch and go.
Must say I am interested to know what you will do for the bottom half?

Not sure why but do you know I always thought that your ancestors would be involved in such business':D.
    Speak soon Mate,
    Keith

    Hi Ken,
Many thanks for for your kind words, it's always good to get the thoughts of established pF members.
As I said above I will get this piece to Richie a.s.a.p. It should be in good time for Sword and Lance, just wish that I could get there myself.
Is there any www report following the show?
    Cheers,
    Keith

    Morning Richie,
It may be better for me to post from here baggage wise. Ryanair are very picky on weights and measures but I will see how it goes.

Many thanks for your kind words Kev. I am gaining more confidence in my sculpting now and leaning toward getting some castings run off on future pieces. I am sure if nobody else wants one you will be my main customer. I just need to get some good advice on casting at home or go to a casting company?
As a knowledgeable chap what do you think.
Thanks again Kev, its always good to hear from you.
    All the very best,

    Hello Jim,
Many thanks for looking in and commenting on this piece. Coming from a man of your sculpting ability that is praise indeed.

I have zero sculpting ability, but I like what you've done there, so far.

As others have said, it's instantly recognisable as Nigel Green.

Any plans to cast this particular piece, or is it in the "Expeirmental" stage at the moment?

    Hello Mate,
    Many thanks for looking in.
I am pretty much done with this piece. I made it as a bit of a whim for a Zulu war nut on this site. He will now finish it off. I have no idea of what the market would be for a piece like this.
Somewhere in my mind I have half a plan to sculpt the heads of the three principle actors in the film or the three warriors themselves from photographs post Rork's Drift. May be these could be cast?
    Cheers,
    Keith

I've often thought about casting at home but the kit you need plus the time factor and skill to do it has always put me off, if your only going for a small run on them, say no more then ten it's not worth the effort and then there's plenty of good casters out there, I've used Steve Reedee (Reedee Miniatures) in the recent past, he does a good job at a very reasonable cost, plus he's a gent too, you can't go wrong with him, hope this helps.
    Cheers

    Thanks Jim,
As you say it is pointless to try to cast myself with no experience in that field. I am musing over weather too or not.
I will let you know the outcome.
Thank you for keeping an eye on me, heaven knows I need it Mate.
    All the very best,

    Hi Keith ,
Jim has already answered your questions ..casting is not a DIY thing in my opinion and can go horribly wrong ...I agree with contacting Steve but would also suggest that you might like to pm anothe Steve ...Valiant on PF as he has casting experience ..his askari I have is super smooth and very sharp .

Let me know if these go commercial ...I would suggest casting minmal as well to avoid waste , if you need anymore then you could get them cast again...depending on the mould life .

Looking forward to seeing more from the film from you perhaps
