Hi Gells, superb face mate, best yet. Will be a good one, can feel it in me water
Don't know if this will help but, I found that by making the Marpat appear faded, it made it a lot easier to handle.

The face looks great Gells, and as the others said, the eyes are just superb!

I am currently doing this figure myself as well, but haven't posted a thread of it yet.I hated the look of the doll in the Camelback, no matter if it was from a pic or not, so I cut the top of the Camelback off and resculpted it to look more closed, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

    Yours will be excellent!

    Cheer's,
    Jeff.

The face of your bust looks great - the real guy obviously had more fun with Sgt Lee Ermey than his copy.

    Some quick update photos.

It's seems a shame the elastic straps on the vest are mostly obscured by the gun and the webbing pouch as they are quite detailed.
Same as half the knife will be hidden by the gun.
I've decided to leave the webbing pouch off to show the straps.
I'll start the Marpat today...just warming up my eyes as I type.

Lovely job so far Craig. Face looks amazing, worn out but ready for whatever.
If you manage to get your Marpat paint put my name down for a couple.

Thanks for the comments guys.....and Don....my names Grant,:) guess it just aint me who get's dottled at times;)

Managed to put down the first of the Marpat. Bit sore on the eyes but still easier than the multicam. I've decided on woodland for the camelbak just to break up the browns.
I've sorted the pocket with the lines going the at the wrong angle, I think I was auto pilot when I painted it.

No one got a spare 1/9th smoke nade for him?

Sorry Grant, a senior moment we all have them. Called you Grant a couple of days ago so dont know where Craig came from.
Love what you are doing with this bust, think its great.
The marine with the GI figure, didnt he take it with him as a present from his son? Seem to remember something like thatand the photos were to prove to his lad it was there.

    That's looking good so far.

Especially like the mixture of camo's... Various items of kit cobbled together, as a whole, in the field... Just like real life.

Kudos on the Marpat... It's gonna look great once the other colours are on.

Skin tones, and face/eyes in general, are just... :woot:

Gells, It's coming along very nicely. Camo is always a pain in the arse, but it could be worse.

    Tartan camo!!!!

    Awesome, really like this.
If I could paint as well I would consider one of these for myself.
