just to take a break form my 40mm smurfs i decided to continue working on this Officer of the Parin national Guard.
I completed the coat and arms, just need final touch ups but virtually done.
I finished the face and laples, collar and buttons yesterday.
Still to come: vest, pants, gaiters and officer's sword and walking stick.
Best regards to all and i will post the mixes when the figure is finally completed.
    Cheers

thanks for your cheering words mate, i am really happy with it so far.
Still lots of work to do with the diorama.
do you know any base of old cobblestone that would fit a decent size for the 4 figures i will have on?.
i think i would like to have them standing over an old cobblestone base, like in a Paris street.
    cheers

DSC03823.JPG DSC03824.JPG DSC03825.JPG Little changes on the vignette i originally though of.
I decided to use an entrance to a mansion and a sentry guard post as part of the whole thing, so i went to the craft store and bought a base, the are to be used is 12" x 10" (inches).
I am planning to have a Swiss guard that i previously started on next to the gate holding the door while a mounted trooper (still need to decide which cavalry regiment officer will be or make him just a regular mounted officer, suggestions are welcome) , a national guard officer talkng to another officer of the line infantry and two soldiers at the sentry box, one sergeant and the one on duty.
the idea is just to depict few of the different french uniforms of the epoch and give it an air to how it was previous to the fall of the monarchy . Just a regular day in the Army, the officer talking to the national guard showing him his recently issued "casque" for the regular army, the sergeant checking on the trooper on duty, the swiss guard opening the gate to this officer.
Here's some pics of the troopers involved and the base.
    cheers

Interesting concept. On the right track so for sure. I like the scenery pieces you have... You do have alot of base left to cover with groundwork:nailbiting:

thanks colin, i am still debating on buying the old cobbler stone base from "Reality in scale" or make it myself with greenstuff and magic sculpt, i already order a iron gate which i will use on the entrance since the wall i have was scale 1/35 and i had to add some base to make it taller, the original doors wore too small.
It's an interesting project , i just have some doubts about if it's going to look good, i guess i have to see it all together .
    thanks for passing by mate.

thanks Eduardo, i always put this big projects that i hope i am not get discourage and able to finish.
As for the mounted officer i was researching on some of the cavalry regiments of 1791, but not many info on them, only the ones in 1789, so i am thinking of making the mounted officer a dragoon.
    Gracias amigo

I could get the helmet from VID soldiers in Ukraine or modify a casqu and build up the crest.
    I don't know yet.
But i think it will be a good addition a dragoon to the diorama so that is another different style of uniform involved.
