very clean paintwork,red over blue is hard to paint,please can you post the better picture,expecially of face,bacause like the skin tone but not see well.cheers

Colin, At the risk of coming off as a contrarian, I say don't mess around with the blue you have already. It "looks" like its supposed to, which is what we're shooting for. I think the coat and pants are well painted, with appropriate subtle shading and highlighting, as befits this type of cloth and cut. As you go forward, keep the reds in the same value range - go +1 to the dull side, rather than the bright side - and shade/highlight consistent with what you've already done. Worry about a darker blue on the next figure. (Those are all great tips, incidentally, and thanks to all for them!) Just my $0.02!!

Thanx Fab, you're absolutely right, red over blue is a pain... took a bunch of passes to get decent cover. The next set of pics I'll get in on the face... once I finish the 'stash and chinscales.
