    It is really enjoyable to follow the sbs photos. I am particularly impressed by the dapple effect of the horse. Did you use airbrush or paint brush ? Your advice how to achieve it is highly appreciated. Thanks

    no, everithing is done using the brush, it's a wet on wet technique using oils. Go throught the post to see how i did it

    What an amazing amount of work amd detail you have put into this ...great fun to ee this progress from virtually nothing ...your love of Napoleonic shines through .

    Its going to be a stunning pieceto see when completed ..the horse colouring is great and as is the leopard skin .

    If I may ask how are you doing the golds ...is it metallics or NMM ?

    thanks for the kind words...

    The laces are oils Cadmium yellow plus a bit of white for the highlight and some burnt umber for the dark shades. Botton and metal are done with gold powder mixed with some poppy oil
