    Hi Guys
Just finished this Alexanders models 75mm figure from the Boxer rebellion.
There are lots of options re colour as the figure is more of a movie Kung fu subject so a couple of changes were made ,discarded the Nun chucks ,added a cloth belt round the waist and made the loose ends of the wrist ties from green stuff as I struggled to make the one supplied fit securely .

After looking at a lot of sepia foto's I came to the conclusion that there was not a lot of colour on these guys as most were poor peasants so really a study in shades of grey-brown and washed out greens .

Hi Steve the base is the trailing edge of a Elm burr as it marries with the natural wood ,the grain still running in every which direction.

Very Kool Ron... The more natural colour palette makes the subject more realistic, overriding the "Hollywood" Kung Fu pose of the sculpt. The Asian peasant skintones are spot on.
Base looks great too... but then I'd expect no less from you, no? ;)

    Great work overall
