Moz - your photos are making the rest of us look unfunny. Go and sculpt something.

Personally would love to see a mounted 200mm figure especially 21st lancers at Omdurman or maybe a melville and cog hill saving the colours at Isandlewana but would have to say the cost may be an issue in the end perhaps a 120 mm in either subject would be more realistic.....

To be honest, the cost wouldn't be all that bad really-it depends on how much profit can be lived with as that, as has been said before, is what pays for the next release (in my case at least)
I have some other things to sculpt before though!

    Hi,
for what it's worth : some wonderful large scale "mannekins" were done in the 70ies by Daniel Lepeltier: http://daniel-lepeltier.perso.sfr.fr/mannequins.html
His work was featured now and then in "Uniformes" magazine.

I always liked his Chasseur d'Afrique, and I think it's a great subject too for a larger scale (200mm or 120mm) mounted figure

    good luck

Theres nothing that quite shows the fluidity of movement for me as a man on horseback and would love to see a 200m scale anything mounted and victorian really, also like the idea of a dismounted rider with bare horse though as that would give the converters something to work with as well ...I for one would buy into that ...as you know Pete..... great idea

Go for 90/120mm (or 150mm?) for us old dogs with dodgy eyesight! Different heads/headgear would be good as well.

Ray Lamb did a 90mm dismounted cuirassier and horse in the 70s I think. I'm not sure how that sold. Large scale horse modellers have lots of options from the resin horse hobby.

Have you thought of a horse in motion with an undressed maniquin that can be converted by dressing him in putty?

Oh btw if it doesn't have to be a military figure, why not try something "old west" inspired by these paintings (by Charles Russell, some very authentic and accurate paintings of the old west)
If I recall well Russell himself did some sculpting also in a larger scale of subjects of his paintings.
