Hey Guys, Finally finished my first 90mm mounted figure. A lot of time and effort went into him .I left off the cape from the kit cause it was too bulky, and think the figure is greatly improved because of it.He is mainly painted in oils but about 20% acrylic. andrea knight complete 1.jpg andrea knight complete 2.jpg andrea knight complete 3.jpg andrea knight complete 4.jpg andrea knight complete 5.jpg

great work on this fig Mario, i love the red tunic, very rich color.

Thanks Mike. I usually dry oils in a electric crock pot but you have to be careful cause it can get pretty hot , and I always worry about the glue as well. If I don't get a flat finish then I use Testors Model Master flat coat , which is the only one that seems to work properly. I chose the dark colour of the horse and leather cause I wanted it to look like a large and intimidating warhorse .

    Cheers

Thanks MarquisMini,The tunic was painted in oils ,which is why its nice and rich , that's why I still prefer oils .the shield is Acrylics which is a bit more dull and easier to weather .The weathering on the sheild was done by painting tiny dots with different shades and colours .Its the first time I have tried the technique and seems to work well. Thanks for the feedback.

ah, that explain the richness in the color.
I am an acrylics guy, i use enamels (oil) for metal pieces and some laces.
Great job and i hope to see your next project soon :)
