WIP A Classic Subject: Gericault Gi Chasseur

    I don't understand anything...
    Change the horse is the big job, I did a similar job some time ago.
    Obviously you have to change completely the horse structure selecting other pieces

    it's a Bernadotte AdC Alexandre de Villatte

    I used some MM parts for the horse and the head come from the Mameluck kit. I checked your proposed head and it's bigger than the original of the Hussar colonel. I find it better than the alternative but it's my taste.
    If you are interested you can select the horse in Eisembach range ( light cavalry) that are very good because are componible and compatible with MM parts

    Yes this is what I mean. Fantastic done with this figure. I love it. The horse stance they way I like it with my project.
    Thank you so much for your help Ivo I will keep you and the other readers informed when the project start.
    I will follow your tips for my first conversion better listen to somebody who done it before;)

    ok after so long and boring:D construction it's time to start with some colours... as usual in oils ( at least for the horse)

    Ivo - this is a very generous SBS on both sculpting and painting - this should almost get pinned as a how to do a Napoleonic mounted figure.
