Both are beautiful, but I think the Irishman would be a stunning piece when finished!

    Thanks guys

Christos - I must admit, I do agree with you the figure is stunning in the first place, the sculpting and pose are terrific, all I can add is the paint, a good figure always helps

Looking great Dave, I've got both in the GA and your work has put them onto the bench.
The Faun is for my daughter who loves the film.
The Argyll, I'll follow your lead and convert to a Free Collier protestor carrying the First Lodge Banner
showing the head of William Wallace.....so thanks for the push
    Cheers

    Thanks guys

Del - just go for it mate, its worth the work, the figure is amazing to work on.

Ron - I work in acrylics, this has also been airbrushed, but this has a couple of additives put in, a touch of glaze medium from vallejo,
to keep wet for a little longer and Tamiya X21 flat base, just a touch, put too much in and it goes all chalky, but it works a treat.

I love both, and I think you demostrate a great skill managing very different subjects. Your style is really fine, I love it.
Carl this Argyll figure, is in the Art Girona Catalogue for long time. Sculpt by Raul Garcia Latorre.

    Hi Dave

You are up to create some really nice figures again. As always you have a keen eye to detect conversion possibilities in a standard miniature. I myself am kind of fascinated by that Alexandros Models of a Faun too.

All the best and happy New Year my friend!

Wonderful work on all three Dave. Do you just jump from one to the other or do you have Grand Plan for finishing?

    Hi Don

No grand plan, just get bored sometimes with some figures so move onto another just to have a change of technique and colours, of course change is as good as a rest as they say.
I always seem to find other historical aspects that change my ideas slightly, so that makes me stop on something for a little while, I then read up a little more while I move onto something else on the bench.
It all works out fine in the end ....... allegedly

    Dave
