    33. Day, Dezember 2012

My painting week starts with the forehead and the (in the picture) right temple.

For the very dark parts of the temple I have added to my skin-base mixture a small brush "Extra Dark Green" ...:

The forehead was difficult to paint - it has a few engraved grooves, but is otherwise pretty slick ...:

But I did a lot of wrinkles – just as an older man..:

    Thank You, Joe!

What the "Extra Dark Green" concerns: I got an advice from a good friend of mine, tried it out (the first time) and was very surprised that it worked. But dont't use too much.

    Cheers

This is coming along great Martin. I'm taking very close notes on how you attack the skintones in acrylic so I might try them myself on my first bust.

    Carry on, Sir

My next step is painting the skull. And because such a skull just is not smooth as a billiard ball, I did each "dent", each "hump", which is sculpted there, painted “with me”, sometimes even more aware of ...:

Finally I set the Ataman still an asymmetric highlight on top of the skull (we remember, the boy keeps his head turned slightly so later).

From above you can see the best of what I mean..:

    36. Day, 6. December 2012

It would havebeen nice if it was at my sbs-times passed without complications!
    But it is not!

When I looked at the pictures of yesterday, I noticed that a piece of the left ear (of the figure) and a piece of running over the ear hair curl is ABSENCE.

    A Magnification shows it clearly..:

Here I have again "slammed". However, I have no idea when and how this happened to me.

On older puctures the now missing piece is still good to see ...:

So I have to put my brushes aside, instead Milliput and modeling tools unpack again.

Sculpting the midst of a finished painted environment. Quite tricky - and the fact that the area I have to repair is VERY small does not make things any better.

I have just made the ear again without damaging anything around ...:

Tomorrow, when the milliput is hard, it is time to restore the the hair.

Well, the broken part of the haircurl is even back again.
And I am happy, I have nothing destroyed of the ready painted parts in the surroundings.
