Hello folks , i have been a little busy building my Army batallions of French infantry.
Here's one of the few French regiments that participated at the Siege of Savannah .
This regiment will be painted acording to the 1776 regulations which is a "white" coat with sky blue facings on the lapels, cuffs and turnbacks and Aurore collar with white metal buttons.
It will take months and months to complete, but i wanted to take some pics .
Still working on my Yorktown diorama, so i have many projects in the phase to be completed.
    Cheers

Quite a grand project. I love the period. Are those Modeles et Allures figures? Bon chance!

Thanks Rodrigo , i already order the iraqui sand and khaki so i could try out the mix you did for your figure's pants and vest.
Been using the Andrea white set ,i just add a little bit of english uniform to it to make it a little warmer midtone.
The "whites" i use for my French regiments lean towards the warm cream color uniform rather than the cold greyish whites, so i think your mix will be interesting to try this time.
    Thanks for passing by (y)

Thanks Jaybo , yes, the torsos are from Modeles et Allures , they are from the 1767 uniform period but modified to resemble the 1779 uniform regulation uniform , the legas are from MINIWELT and the heads are some from miniwelt and most of the other heads are from JMD , the hats are of my own, scratchbuild in a mix of migic sculpt and green stuff which i have made few molds of them.
    Merci! :)

My favourite combination of colors is this regiment, white with sky blue is a color i love.
I wanted to paint the collar white but to be accurate i guess i will have to paint it Aurore.
    thanks Eduardo.

I am having second thoughts of painting this regiment in the 1776 reg. uniform or the 1779 uniform, i really like the crisp, clean look of the white and sky blue without the Aurore.

To me this color plate is one of the best depicting the french uniform.
