I apologise to my fellow planeteers for not keeping up with the posts but the whole family went down with a stomach bug so i've only managed to get back to painting the last few days.
I have now finished the Bust which was completed over the last 3x days, the bust was completed using oil paints painted over GW acrylic paints, for the helmet and cloak i used the airbrush for the base coating using Tamiya XF-58 Olive Green for the first coats and this was followed by an overspray of Tamiya XF-49 Khaki, once these airbrushed coats were dry i started to detail the helmet and cloak using WN Olive green oil on its own then lightening the colour by addding yellow ochre to the mix and adding more ochre with a little tittanium white oil for the lighter effect, shading was completed using Sepia Oil paint from Rowney, for the deep shades i added burnt umber to the mix, once all the painting was completed on the helmet and cloak i mixed a small amount of polyfila with pva glue and added some burnt umber oil and mixed to a paste,i then added a small amount of fine grit and mixed this in to the mix,i then applied the mix in tiny small amounts to the helmet and paticular areas of the cloak using a stippling motion with the brush,i then wanted to create the first signs of a light snow fall / frost again on the cloak and helmet, for this i took small amounts of GW White scar and with a tiny piece of sponge and tweezers lightly stippling the white onto the helmet and cloak, finaly i finished the helmet and cloak with tiny amounts of Deluxe Materials snow products.
The bodywork of the bust was undercoated in GW Kharak Stone and Desert Yellow, shading was completed using umber and black oil paint, highlights wer'e added using Yellow Ochre with Burnt Umber mix lightening with Tittanium White to achieve the effect i was looking for, once this was completed i added the same dirt mixture as i explained earlier.
The rifle stock was undercoated in GW Doombull brown and followed by applications of GW Ushabti Bone / Desert yellow / Kharak Stone / Chaos Black / these colours were applied with a very fine brusk in a streak pattern, when this was completed i toned the colours down with a thin veil / wash using Burnt Sienna oil paint.
All flesh areas were completed using oil paints again from the WN range, the colours i used were as follows :

Burnt Sienna / Burnt Umber / Raw Umber / Vermillion / Gold Ochre / Magenta / Brown Madder / Tittanium White / Sepia / Charcoal Grey.

I hope my fellow planeteers and friends enjoy the finished result,it was a joy to paint and construct,i would recomend the bust to anyone interested in WW2,i did'nt have any issues putting the piece together and i found it great value for money,it comes with 2x seperate heads both of which could be used depending on personal taste.
