Wonderful set of photos Kaz well done and thanks for posting them. Pity we couldnt see some photos of you building the American running, the construction idea is terrific. Dont think anyone has seen anthing like it at Euro before.
Hope you had a safe journey home and Okinawa has escaped damage from the hurricane.

Thanks a lot everybody for your compliments!

And, Don, you mean this? :)

Thanks for giving nice compliments on my work. It took 2 months to finish it, and awarded as "Commended". I wanted higher prizes but maybe I couldn't achieve good enough level. I brought this big guy because I've never seen anyone done this before, to add something different and to make the show a bit more interesting. If someone like my idea, I'm glad.

Personally I rate this as a better figure than the BOS myself Kaz, it's all subjective I suppose but as I said this is more what I'd have expected to see win than the current trend.

Thats the very one Kaz, its super and to me deserves more than it was awarded, but thats judging. You can rest assured that the boys like it.
Glad you enjoyed Euro and perhaps we can see you there again.

A comprehensive selection of pictures there Kaz. Great stuff. I agree with your thoughts about the commended for the 1/6th figure, I thought it deserved much more, I was also very shocked to see that your MG42 gunner received nothing. I've read a few comments on other Euro related threads giving the opinion that the judging standard was a lot better this year, I don't really have any argument about those that were awarded gold, they were all fabulous models but to me there seemed to be a big discrepancy between those that received between silver, bronze, highly commended, commended and nothing at all. I have a number of photographs of models entered into the same class which have won the same award and the gulf in skill and execution is obvious to even the untrained eye, the same goes for some that won a C or HC compared to some that didn't win a thing. I wouldn't want to show the particulary pictures for comparison for fear of embarassing the artist but it really puzzles me why yours didn't get higher awards.

Anyway, great pictures and thanks for sharing.

what's means that colors dots, yellow, grey, green, red and another looks like yellow but is not yellow??

The dots represent the level of award that the judges have decided. The yellow stands for commended, green for highly commended, red for bronze, grey for silver and the not quite yellow for gold.
