I guess I picked the wrong day to stop buying figures...!

Gotta have that one, love the helmeted version. I could also see me doing it with just him wearing the Ushanka and no helmet, with a little sculpting.

Brilliant looking figure. The painting is just sublime. Well that's part of my Xmas picked anyways.

Wonderful bust, excellent sculpting and the painting is a work of art on its own.
Like the forage cap rather than the helmet, but nice to have a choise.

Hey Carl, likeness to whom, who is Vasily?

See? Brilliance is humanly possible and just waiting to happen. It just takes a decision to go for it. Sometimes brilliance isn't even about the level of skills required. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight is unique and superb cos the team shot it like a dark detective story. So is he better than anyone else with detective stories? Who knows? But the success definitely depended on him shooting it that way. Similarly, for a WW2 figure / bust to shine, it can take as little as a decision to aim where others haven't.

For this reason, pls let us have a Chinese red army and I will eat my foot digitally if that proves a flop.

Likeness to the actor Jude Law in the movie "Enemy at the Gates" of course...:

But - pity - not to the real Hero of the Soviet Union, Wassilij Saizew, whom I would have preferred!...:

Martin - It only business, Vasily Zaytsev made in Hollywood is more attractive and recognizable)
I think that real Vasily Zaytsev too when нибудь will be made in the form of a bust or a figure. Though I know precisely that there is real Vasily Zaytsev's figure on the scale of 1:6

Very beautiful bust, is well made and painted, but I don't like a cap with ear-flaps, Russian such didn't carry, is visible it trophy?)

Here silhouettes of winter headdress, a look with a side. 1 option is what headdress the Russian carried, the 2nd option is on a bust, the headdress probably is made in Hollywood

Wow ! Great bust/half figure .. And a great likeness ... But for me a better likeness would be to the real Zaytsev.

This was a really cool one. The only drawback is that it will become hard to choose which headgear to use.

Not usually a fan of busts that run this deep but what an awesome bit of sculpting! Might be his best work yet.
