    Hi all,
Have finally finished this marathon effort, its a beautiful kit but its very heavy and has lots of intricate parts and mouldings and given some time, comes up a treat. You can see the SBS here http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/pegasos-90mm-guan-yu.50437/
The water turned out well after getting a new resin system called KraftKote, a two part resin that mixes well with Acrylic, pours perfectly and no major bubbles (there are very fine ones that can be seen when viewing from the side but not from the top). The splash was made from Vallejo's Water Effects, spread thin on some baking paper to dry and shaping it to where I wanted it.
Please feel free to comment and tell me if there are any areas that need touching up. I have noticed a bit of bad weathering on his coat near his left foot that I will fix.
    Regards
    Ben

Absolutely stunning, Ben! The figure and horse are outstanding, and I'm glad that the water worked out so well after the headaches it gave you at the start. It looks really convincing now.
    Fantastic work, mate!

Thanks for that Colin, its not as easy as it looks to paint bright colours, was a bit of a mission actually, but I am glad of the way it turned out

The colours all work very well together, and the pattern detail is brilliant.
It's a great piece, beautifully painted, and nicely complimented with the exceptional groundwork.

Hi Ron, I used a product called KraftKote for the resin clear water and Vallejo Water Effects for the splash and ripples. The whole kit went together well except fitting the rider to the horse, not sure what happened but had to do a bit of surgery to get it to fit.

Absolutely superb. If I have any critisism at all it is from my own personal taste. In my humble opinion the horse lacks a little shine/lustre to indicate a bit of sweat.

Overall very well done. Like the details and color choice. The ground is very nice. Other than that I have to agree with Ken. Horse is well painted, but it lacks a bit of depth in color and shine.
