Hello folks, i have made some progress on my grenadiers.
All base colors have been applied.
for the fur hat : base is German camo black/brown with a dab of leather brown.
As for the facing in crimson i use the prior mis and gave it a little wash of Winsor & Newton Alizarin Crimson.
The base for the skintone is Panzer aces flesh base.
    hope you guys like it.

    Thanks Colin.
the windsor & newton Crimson gives it a nice vivid tone to the colors while the Vallejo and Andrea reds tend to be a little muted.

True, thats why I add yellows to Vj reds to highlight... seems to brighten them up some. Vj Dark Red as a shadow is also very rich instead of dulling down the base red tone will browns. The slung pelisse on the Chasseur is an example.
I really have to try oils soon to broaden my pallette:D

I've used artists acrylics to paint wall murals but never used it on figures... I'll try anything once;)
