    Hi boys,
Been away from the bench, lots going on this summer, but managed to get this fellow mostly completed. Still some work to finish, shield etc and touching up but he's coming along. I'm going to bump up the highlights; I find when I get a figure assembled I can really see where they need boosting. I set him on a base for better photos, he's not attached yet.
He's an Elite Miniature, 70mm and highly recommended, great sculpt and lots of fun detail to paint, but I think this one is getting harder to find...
    Comments welcome,
    Mary

you are getting better. I see improvement in this one. Much cleaner than the others. I'd finish that basework out to the edge of the base.

Very nice work Mary. You are pushing yourself to the limit isn't.
But you are getting better with every figure you paint.

Well done Mary. I like the shade of blue you've developed for this one. As for assembling, I find if I paint in sub-assemblies, I will set down the block colours, do an initial highlight and shade considering how the pieces will go together. Once assembled, the shades can be revisited now that you can see exactly how the light would play on the parts in their final position... IE once an arm is attachedto the torso, you will see better how the shadows will land between the arm and the body.

    Did that make sense?

    Colin
