Very nice Martin, one small point and it is a small one, the left stirrup could do with bending down a bit so it's pointing at the floor just to make it look a bit more natural. If you've already got it in hand or you thinking "idiot!" I'll still like it.

As I said not great photos it's not shiny at all in reality!.
Ronnie the metallics are printers inks I got from a local printers .just took a couple of clean tamiya paint jars along and asked.
The man in the printers was happy to help as they have large tins of the stuff and one tamiya paint jar should last a lifetime it goes
A long way .Just add white spirit.

Roger....I thought the same as you and was going to alter it .Then thought it could be swinging as he's walking.
As I said though its got a bit more to do yet so I may alter it.

Martin, it might be interesting to add a bit of extra swing to give an impression of movement, maybe it's worth experimenting a bit..... being careful not to break the strap of course.

Very nice and very Crimea. You can almost feel the weight of the saddle on his shoulder and it makes you wonder if his horse is Balaklava casualty.

I have this figure, I am wanting to convert it in the future to a Zulu War Colonial trooper or officer. Nice to see this glorious figure come to life, very nice work.

Richie...yes mate but have knocked them off twice so will add them last as thier very tiny and easily lost .

The stirrup straps are not supplied and made mine from plastic strip.
The sword staps are from photographic paper same as you would use in a printer

for htose who haven't seen it, Moz has a nice little illustrated lesson on his site on how to attach the stirrups and girth etc.

One tip I,d give for this figure I cut off the rings on the sword sling ends drilled them out and made a new ring from fuse wire .
Just wrap it round a suitable sized nail and cut off the rings you need.

Ps....also used a dremel tool to grind a recess in the tunic for the pistol.
