    Hey All,

In the process of getting through the 3 miles or so of gold braiding, piping and lace on this figure. So far it's in various stages of completion.
The main blocks of colour are based with no highlighting or shading yet. Those being the greens, reds and buff.
The braiding on the front of the dolman and the gold cords of the barrel sash are based goldbrown and washed burnt umber. The braiding on the pelisse has the first application of old gold. The gold on the colpack bag and raquettes is done with the second burnt umber wash. Final highs are still to be picked out with burnished gold.

All this braid is absolutely mind numbingo_O

    Thanx Daniel,
Just finished putting all the gold on the dolman, added the second wash on the pelisse, touched up the colpack, based the red on the sword belt and the black boots:eek: .... now it's time for this little piggy to go to bed:sleep:

Once all the goldwork is done I'll get some more pics.

    Hi Colin,
you are doing great! Hope you have more luck than me. Yesterday I painted the rest of the goldbraid and I think it isn't as good as the other on the pelisse...
Don't know what to do now... I just feel like clean and start over on the braids, but that can'be done....

    Regards
    Pedro

Might have the rider done by then... once the braiding crap is done, I can put some highs and shades on the blocked in colours. That goes way faster than this finickitty s#!t. Mind you the Imperial crest on the sabretache feels like about 8 hours worth on it's owno_O

Unless of course you want to take a stab at it... I'll bring it right over:D.

Ah.....love to help but France is a long way from Toronto my friend but if you are passing pop in and take the weight off.
Seriously Colin this is a great job you are doing here and you will finish it in the grand style. There is no rushing these complicated uniforms.
    Cheers,
    Keith
